Saving the World Through EMS Training: Gabriel Schultz of MyEMSPath - Founders Live Conversations

Gabriel Schultz, founder and CEO of MyEMSPath sits down with Nick Hughes, founder and CEO of Founders Live, for a Founders Live Conversations session filmed in San Diego during stop #5 of our 2025 Exploring Greatness US tour.

Gabe, a 23-year-old EMT and Marine Corps reservist firefighter, shared his journey into entrepreneurship, driven by a passion for creativity and a desire to solve real-world problems. He explained how his experience working as an EMT in challenging areas of LA County, and hearing constant complaints about outdated certifications and difficulty finding jobs, inspired him to create MyEMSPath.

MyEMSPath aims to be the "LinkedIn for first responders," a one-stop shop for job searching, school information, and certification management. Gabriel also discussed the critical need to address the shortage of first responders, which leads to increased 911 calls, longer response times, and a higher risk of clinical errors due to exhaustion. He shared valuable lessons learned as a founder, emphasizing the importance of utilizing resources like YouTube tutorials for actionable advice and seeking mentorship to navigate the entrepreneurial path.
